Dinner at Mandarin Tea Garden with Siblings and Hubby

My twin and my other siblings came over here in the city of Davao. My twin wanted to buy laptop, a digital camera and cellphone. She wanted hubby to accompany her with buying the laptop because hubby is a computer engineer and he knows about computer specifications and he already researched which brand is good.

After buying everything she wants to buy, she treat us with a dinner at Mandarin Tea Garden. We ordered supreme siomai which I did not eat because I have an allergy with shrimps. We also ordered pancit guisado, beef ampalaya, beef steak and fish fillet. I was the one who consumed almost all the fish fillet. It's very delicious and guilt-free because I know it's not gonna trigger neither me nor my daughter's allergy plus the fact that it's not laden with so much cholesterol.

We also ordered durian shake, my favorite. My niece had her four season juice and fresh fruit salad. Having able to bond with my siblings is a good feeling especially when we are feasting yummy foods in front of us:).

Sharing to you some photos:

Sunday Lunch at Hukad sa Golden Cowrie, 2nd Level at Abreeza Mall, Davao City

Last Sunday, grandpa invited us for a lunch at Hukad located at the second level of Abreeza Ayala Mall. He has tried eating there and told us that food in that restaurant is delicious. We had a late breakfast that Sunday so we left home for Abreeza at past 12 noon already. When we arrived at Hukad, there were already plenty of diners.

Grandpa and grandma ordered Bicol express and grilled blue marlin while me and hubby ordered lechon kawali and kinilaw. Troy's favorite is chicken so as usual, he ordered grilled chicken. As for the drinks, I'm not into softdrinks so I ordered mango juice. Hubby has his coke. Grandpa and grandpa ordered sago at gulaman which they shared with our little sweetheart because she like it very much. Grandpa also ordered single scoop ice cream for all of us for our dessert.

Beef Brisket Noodle Soup Snack at Mandarin Tea Garden

Is there such thing as hunger intolerance? I think there is and I'm one of those who has no tolerance when hunger pangs strike. Me and hubby attended an assembly yesterday in Bajada area. Free snacks would be served in that assembly but it was already 30 minutes past 3PM and snacks were not yet served because the program perhaps is delayed. I was already very hungry, got an aching head and was really uneasy anymore so we decided to sneak out.

Beef brisket noodle soup, it's about to be finished when I remember I have a camera inside my bag.LOLz

mango shake with sago for me

and this one for hubby...

First thing that comes to mind was Mandarin Tea Garden since it's just near in the area. We went to Mandarin Tea Garden near SSS office and when we arrived there, only few people were inside. That's a good news for us because it means few waiting hours and fast serving for us. Few minutes after the waiter took our orders, he already serve us with beef brisket noodle soup, one for hubby and another one for me, a glass of mango shake sago for me and black forest for hubby. I right away finished off the bowl of noodle soup in a few minutes, a sign that I was indeed hungry, LOLz. I then enjoyed sipping my mango shake which was perfect for an afternoon snack.

the place, cozy and comfortable

Being a breastfeeding mom, I really love soup. It does not only give warmth to my tummy but also increases my milk production, as what I have observed:). This is a rather late post because this food trip happened a month ago, when me and hubby were looking for Keona's elusive milk, Nan 3 HW. I say elusive because we have already visited a lot of department stores, literally from north to south - SM mall, GS Mall, Gaisano Mall, Victoria Plaza, Robinson's including major drugstores but it's not available (update: it is now available in leading supermarkets and drugstores). When we reached Robinsons Department store, we were already very hungry so we decided to have our snack at Rai Rai Ken, just within Robinson's area because I know they have yummy soup and the restaurant is not crowded with people.

Dining at Dencio's Restaurant at Damosa Gateway

waiting for our order

the menu

Me and hubby was wondering where to eat for our lunch when we were at Bajada last Sunday. So we just thought of exploring Damosa Gateway and look for a restaurant where we can eat. There, we walked past Yellow Cab Pizza and hubby know's it's no-no for me because I need rice for my lunch. I can't take just pizza, I need heavy meal. Then there's the Hola EspaƱola and I told hubby we'll just eat there next time coz I know it's a little pricey in there. Oh, there's the McDonald's, hubby's favorite but I told him I'm feed up with fast food chains and eating chicken all the time. We went to Market Basket and we saw Dencio's, one of my favorite restaurants. We right away decided to have our lunch in there. I love their barbecue served with soup and atsara. When we arrived there, we were happy that only few people dined, so that means less waiting time for our order. There are a lot of foods to choose from in the menu like chicken barbecue, seafoods and if you want soup, they have seashells like halaan and inbaw and sinigang. Me and hubby decided t order pares 1 composed of a chicken barbecue, pork barbecue and a pitcher of iced tea. We really enjoyed the delicious juicy barbecue that we had and we returned home full and satisfied with our lunch.

Eat all you can at Tita D's

Food tripping is what we usually do during December. I have been hearing about Tita D's Buffet from my workmates. They said the food is great, eat all you can for only Php99.00 excluding drinks. They have been there recently but me and hubby did not go with them because we had a "date" of our own during that time. When I told hubby about it, he right away agreed with me to have a lunch there because he has an overtime (OT) pay anyway.LOL. So it's his treat :).

They also cater and accept functions for weddings, birthdays, etc. They have a space upstairs. We were rally stuffed when we got out of Tita D's:). Tita D's is located at IƱigo St., (formerly Anda St.,) Davao City.
