Car Wash and N'Joy Bar-BQ at Davao City

If you are having your car washed, and having to wait on a chair can bore you or even yet you suddenly feel hungry from waiting. Visit N'Joy Bar-BQ at Lanang just beside Insular Village 2. At N'Joy Bar-BQ there is a car wash station just beside it. So you can wait there and eat and watch TV while your car gets washed and cleaned.

Me and my wife ate their about two months ago, and the food and the service was great. Since the place is far from the downtown area, the place is not much crowded by people.

I ordered a value meal that consists of 1 Chicken Pecho, Rice and Atsara for 79 pesos while wifey also had a value meal that consist of 2 Pork Barbecue, Rice and Atsara for 65 pesos. I had a coke in glass for 15 pesos and my wife had calamansi juice for 25 pesos. We had a total bill of 184 pesos, not bad huh?

With regards to the place, the place is spacious, its quite windy when we visited the place since its open and no windows, the place main cooling equipment if that is the right term is a ceiling fan. I also like the color of the place which is yellow, it does help brighten up the place. There is also a huge mounted TV at the top wall of the counter.

So in case you are near lanang area visit N'Joy Bar-BQ.

Delicious and Tasty Chicken at Goldie Chicken House - Davao City

If you like chicken, well fried chicken to be exact. Better check out Goldie Chicken House at Ilustre Street.

When it comes to chicken, for me they have the tastiest and juiciest chicken, that can rival that of Jollibee and Mcdonalds. Me and my wife love to eat there because also of their affordable price. I'm not sure of the correct prices of Jollibee and Mcdonalds when it comes to chicken, as far as I can remember, a 1 piece chicken meal in Jollibee or Mcdonalds can cost you almost 80 pesos (a one piece chicken part, one soft drinks and a rice) and that is good for only a single person. At Goldie, me and my wife usually order a Thrift Treat (Large) which can cost us 142 pesos, Expensive? well lets look at the content. A Thrift Treat (Large) has 6 slices of chicken part (YES 6 chicken parts compare to a single part on your favorite food chain), a rice and a macaroni or potato salad. Since there is only 1 rice we would order an extra rice, and an ice tea which cost 18 pesos. Usually our bill would range at about 180 pesos, is it worth it? of course.

The only downside of the place well, its not air conditioned, only ceiling fans are in used, so come lunch time it could get a little hot, and the place also is not that big, it could accommodate maybe 20 to 30 person the most. But only few people dine in at the place, most of their clients would order in advance through phone call, and mostly are take out orders.

So if you crave for some tasty and yet affordable chicken. Don't hesitate to visit Goldie Chicken House.

Goldie Chicken House is located at Amgar Plaza, Ilustre St, Davao City. Tel No.: 226-3846

Lunch at Garden by the Bay

It's a beautiful Sunday and we woke up very late because there's no work. After few minutes of taking our breakfast, Papa invited us for a lunch in a restaurant inside Garden by the Bay. It's just near to where we live and we brought with us Keona's swim suit so that she can just swim in case she wants to because there's a swimming pool inside the resort.

We arrive at around 11:30 in the morning and only few people were there. Papa right away ordered our food - fried rice, chicken barbecue for Troy, lechon kawali, kinilaw, mongolian spare ribs and plain rice for me, Keona and mama. We can't eat fried rice because there's egg on it and we are having an allergy to eggs and chicken.

Few minutes, we waited our order and we roam around the place. I like the place because it's not crowded. There are a number of cottages for people who are bringing foods with them. But if you don't have foods, you can just order from the restaurant like what we did. A lot of children are having fun at the pool, swimming.

Some photos of the place...

Garden by the bay is a great place to relax and unwind because you feel the gentle breeze against your skin since it's located along the seashore. You also get to enjoy the spectacular view of Samal island and the colorful boats that went to and fro fetching beach goers to the beautiful beaches and resorts in the nearby Samal island. I hope you have a great weekend friends:).

Beef Siomai and Beef Brisket at Mandarin

Me and hubby were looking for a notebook yesterday because all we have at home is a desktop PC. I complained to him that I have a hard time surfing and blogging because I still have to go to the other room where the PC is placed. We were canvassing for prices and when it was already lunch time, we would have wanted to eat at Times Square but it was already crowded so we decided to eat at our favorite Mandarin Tea Garden restaurant along Ilustre street. I would have wanted something different but I can't think of any menu that I like. So as usual, we ordered beef brisket rice, beef siomai and mango shake. The supreme siomai which is made of shrimp is more yummy than the one we ordered but since I have an allergy to shrimp, we just settled with the beef siomai.

We had a very yummy lunch and we get out at Mandarin satisfied with a big burp:). Mandarin has branches at SM Mall, Gaisano Mall, Sta. Ana st., near Holy Cross College.

Food tripping is what we usually do during December. I have been hearing about Tita D's Buffet from my workmates. They said the food is great, eat all you can for only Php99.00 excluding drinks. They have been there recently but me and hubby did not go with them because we had a "date" of our own during that time. When I told hubby about it, he right away agreed with me to have a lunch there because he has an overtime (OT) pay anyway.LOL. So it's his treat :).

They also cater and accept functions for weddings, birthdays, etc. They have a space upstairs. We were rally stuffed when we got out of Tita D's:).
