Eat All You Can at Probinsya Buffet Restaurant - Home of Lutong Pinoy

When it comes to eat all you can or buffet, I all game. When my brother came home from Singapore, he treated all of us at Probinsya Buffet Restaurant- Home of Lutong Pinoy. Probinsya is located at Victoria Plaza Compound, Bajada Davao City (to be precised, its located at the back of Victoria Plaza). This is the first time I had heard of this place, since its been ages since I visited Victoria Plaza.

The place opens at 7:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. (breakfast), 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.(lunch) and 6:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. (dinner). Breakfast fee differs that of from lunch and dinner. Breakfast will cost you Php168.00 while lunch and dinner is at Php 298.00. Probinsya offers a good selection of Filipino delicacies to choose from, one such is Kinilaw (my favorite) adobo and the usual buttered chicken, grilled barbeque. And a very tasty selection of desserts (you can mix your own Halo-halo)

The place is nice, it has a nice native design to it, which is true to its name Probinsya. The employees are kind and attentive. Its a great place to held special occasions such as meetings, baptismal's, debut, seminars. birthdays, reunions and more. For more inquiries you can call them at 255-1455 to 56.

Juan Manuel Marquez Wins Over Pacquiao with Huge Right on 6th Round

Manny Pacquiao, Juan Manuel Marquez, Boxing, Pacquiao vs Marquez 4, Davao delights
The 4th fight between the two heated boxer

Shock, that was the reaction of almost all of the people who watch the 4th match between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez.

When both fighters entered the ring you just cant help but notice Marquez looks bigger than Pacquiao this time around. It was a seesaw battle in the first two rounds but, when Marquez floored Pacquiao in the third you just can't help the feeling this would be the day Marquez would get his revenge on the Filipino southpaw.

Pacquiao manage to survive the 4th round to recover and went to the 5th round and made a payback to Marquez by putting Marquez down.

The Juan Manuel Marquez Right Punch that ended the fight
Then came the shocking round. It would seem like Pacquiao would regain the upper hand with his payback on the fifth but a perfectly timed right counter punch by Marquez knock Pacquiao down cold on the 6th. Game Over.

Would we see a fifth fight from both fighters? or would this be the last time we see the pound for pound fighter from the Philippines Manny Pacquiao enter the boxing ring. That remains to be seen, as for now hats of to Marquez for the well earned victory.

Isla Reta Beach Resort - Samal, Sta. Cruz, Talicud, Igacos

Its my first time to come to Isla Reta, I have heard of the beach before, but never did consider going there, until now. My wife and her classmates at her masteral classes planned to have a celebration after their comprehensive exam at Isla Reta. After sleepless nights of studying for the exam they plan to relax and have fun at Isla Reta Beach Resort.

We arrive at Sta. Ana wharf at around 2 pm, our boat leaves at 3 pm that day. Before arriving at Isla Reta, our boat made a stop at Kaputian wharf (the boat stayed there for about 5 minutes, because there were plenty of rice sacks that were unloaded during that trip). After Kaputian the boat then traveled to Talicud Island, we arrive at Talicud's wharf at about 5 pm (the boat going straight to Isla Reta was not available that time around). It only took about a 2 minute walk to Talicud's wharf going to Isla Reta.

When we arrive there the place was already packed with people but not over crowded as some of the well known beaches in Samal. My wife's classmate already reserve an open cottage for us, since we are staying over night and I really need to sleep, I rented a tent (it will cost you 400 pesos for the tent) additional charges if you want to add a pillow, blanket and mattress.

Once we settled in and our bags already placed in the tent, I went strolling around the place just to familiarize the surroundings. The comfort room and bathroom are all in one place, both for female and male. There's also a place were you can wash your utensils, and grilling place to cook your food.

You can also order food to be cooked in their canteen, the canteen will be closed at 10 pm so better order early. Electricity will be turned off at 6 am in the morning and will be back in the evening. So better charge your phones and cameras, or better yet bring and extra battery pack.

Even though it was already night you can still swim at the beach as there is a spotlight at each end of the resort. Damn it was cold though hahahha, but still enjoyed my swim. It is at daytime that you'll appreciate the beach though and the view of the resort.

So all in all the place was really nice, the sand was white, and the beach a pretty blue. I can't wait to visit the place again.

Here are some photos of the resort.

Sky Garden at SM Lanang Premier - Davao

One of the many places to go at SM Lanang Premier is the Sky Garden, which is visible from the outside if you happen to pass by. Its accessible via stairs when you enter SM or on the second floor if you are inside the mall.

So far only two dining spots have open in the sky garden, the Marina Tuna and Giligan's. But more are sure to open this October such as Blugre Coffee, Army Navy, Toryano's Chicken Haus and Manna Garden.

Here are some photos of SM Lanang Premier's Sky Garden.
