Eat All You Can at Probinsya Buffet Restaurant - Home of Lutong Pinoy

When it comes to eat all you can or buffet, I all game. When my brother came home from Singapore, he treated all of us at Probinsya Buffet Restaurant- Home of Lutong Pinoy. Probinsya is located at Victoria Plaza Compound, Bajada Davao City (to be precised, its located at the back of Victoria Plaza). This is the first time I had heard of this place, since its been ages since I visited Victoria Plaza.

The place opens at 7:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. (breakfast), 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.(lunch) and 6:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. (dinner). Breakfast fee differs that of from lunch and dinner. Breakfast will cost you Php168.00 while lunch and dinner is at Php 298.00. Probinsya offers a good selection of Filipino delicacies to choose from, one such is Kinilaw (my favorite) adobo and the usual buttered chicken, grilled barbeque. And a very tasty selection of desserts (you can mix your own Halo-halo)

The place is nice, it has a nice native design to it, which is true to its name Probinsya. The employees are kind and attentive. Its a great place to held special occasions such as meetings, baptismal's, debut, seminars. birthdays, reunions and more. For more inquiries you can call them at 255-1455 to 56.

Dinner at Mandarin Tea Garden with Siblings and Hubby

My twin and my other siblings came over here in the city of Davao. My twin wanted to buy laptop, a digital camera and cellphone. She wanted hubby to accompany her with buying the laptop because hubby is a computer engineer and he knows about computer specifications and he already researched which brand is good.

After buying everything she wants to buy, she treat us with a dinner at Mandarin Tea Garden. We ordered supreme siomai which I did not eat because I have an allergy with shrimps. We also ordered pancit guisado, beef ampalaya, beef steak and fish fillet. I was the one who consumed almost all the fish fillet. It's very delicious and guilt-free because I know it's not gonna trigger neither me nor my daughter's allergy plus the fact that it's not laden with so much cholesterol.

We also ordered durian shake, my favorite. My niece had her four season juice and fresh fruit salad. Having able to bond with my siblings is a good feeling especially when we are feasting yummy foods in front of us:).

Sharing to you some photos:

Lunch at Garden by the Bay

It's a beautiful Sunday and we woke up very late because there's no work. After few minutes of taking our breakfast, Papa invited us for a lunch in a restaurant inside Garden by the Bay. It's just near to where we live and we brought with us Keona's swim suit so that she can just swim in case she wants to because there's a swimming pool inside the resort.

We arrive at around 11:30 in the morning and only few people were there. Papa right away ordered our food - fried rice, chicken barbecue for Troy, lechon kawali, kinilaw, mongolian spare ribs and plain rice for me, Keona and mama. We can't eat fried rice because there's egg on it and we are having an allergy to eggs and chicken.

Few minutes, we waited our order and we roam around the place. I like the place because it's not crowded. There are a number of cottages for people who are bringing foods with them. But if you don't have foods, you can just order from the restaurant like what we did. A lot of children are having fun at the pool, swimming.

Some photos of the place...

Garden by the bay is a great place to relax and unwind because you feel the gentle breeze against your skin since it's located along the seashore. You also get to enjoy the spectacular view of Samal island and the colorful boats that went to and fro fetching beach goers to the beautiful beaches and resorts in the nearby Samal island. I hope you have a great weekend friends:).

Shawarma

I have always wanted to try shawarma. The other day, me and hubby dropped by at Robinson's looking for Keona's milk which was unavailable in other department stores. We saw a foodcart of shawarma but we did not buy anymore because I was full.

Yesterday, on our way home from Mintal, we dropped by at SM to buy Keona's milk because my officemate told me it's available there. After buying groceries, we saw the same foodcart of shawarma and since it was snacks time, we bought shawarma so that we can taste it.

It tasted good, we chose the one with cheese. I like the spicy taste mixed with sauce and some veggies.

The name of the food cart is Leylam shawarma. Here are some of their specialties:

  • beef shawarma
  • beef shawarma with cheese
  • beef shawarma all meat with cheese
  • shawarma rice
  • shawarma rice with egg

I want to taste kabab next time...Have a great weekend friends!

Native Delicacies

When I went to a trade fair in the city hall with hubby, I was amused to find these foods that I have never tasted. Some of the foods look familiar but there are also those that I find really rare. You can never see them sold in malls or department stores. The booth that display those delicacies are owned by our Maguindanao, Tausog and Maranao Muslim brothers. Aside from foods, their booth also showcased some native products made by them.

Hubby, the ever curious one tried to buy some of these foodies and he loves the taste of the sweet ones like dudol . Have a great Saturday everyone. Happy weekend:).
