Disappointed...

I am really disappointed that the number of hours for the blackouts are getting longer. From 2 hours, it is now increased to 3 hours a day and it's really hampering my work. I have been erratically busy this past few days beating the deadline for my reports and it just upsets me when I'm already very concentrated on my task and in the middle of it, suddenly there's a power outage!

I never thought it could get this worse since there have been rainshowers already lately and I'm starting to doubt it all. Is the incoming elections part of this inconvenience that we are experiencing now? Who knows, this is just conspired in order for them to use the calamity fund for their own vested interests. I really don't know but this is just mere speculations and with what we are experiencing right now, I can't help myself to be cynical sometimes. God bless the Philippines!

Katibawasan Falls

Another spot that I love most in Camiguin Island is the Katibawasan Falls. Is high and not so far from the capital town of Camiguin. The water is so clean and fresh that even my friend who decided not to bath due to the tight schedule that we had was tempted to jump and soak herself in the water.

Camiguin White Island

I was really excited when we were heading for Camiguin. I have never been there and I heard from friends that the island is very beautiful. From Cagayan de Oro Port, we ride Paras super cat, a fast craft, comfortable one because it's air-conditioned. It was a two-hour ride and I kept on looking if i can see an island to the direction where we were heading. When we were approaching Benoni port at Camiguin island, there were a lot of placards with names written on it welcoming the arrival of some of the passengers. Then I saw the name of the head of our team who made the booking at Highland Hotel and resort, the place where we are gonna stay. We were fetched by their van and it was a 25-minute ride from the port to the hotel. We then settled our selves in our room and get ready with the tour which was part of the package. We first visited the walkway of the old volcano with the station of the cross. Our next stop was the old church, then the sunken cemetery, the soda swimming pool, the cold spring and then the Ardent hot spring. Honestly, the ones we visited failed my very high expectations.

On the second day, we were scheduled to visit Katibawasan falls and white island. It was the white island that I love very much about Camiguin. It is about 3-5 minute ride through a boat and the island is gifted with powdery white sand and turquoise waters. When you are at the white island, you would feel the perfect art of the Creator - the white sand, the pristine blue waters and the beautiful mountains forming as a backdrop. Just perfect! We went there at the breaking of the early morning because only a small portion of the island will be seen in the afternoon and the waves are kinda scary so we were able to witness the beautiful sunrise.

A Day in Paradise Island

Whew! Fresh from our beach escapade at Paradise park and beach resort in Samal Island. Me and hubby decided to go home because we feel sleepy already after swimming and eating a lot. When I look at the photos of my camera seeing my daughter, I just feel the urge to go home because I miss her. Yeah, even a whole day that I don't see my little girl I miss her right away especially that a lot of little cuties are in the beach and it made me remember my own little one.

Today is our scheduled year-end bonding at work and we decided to have it at paradise island beach resort. The group decided to have it today since tomorrow is a holiday. We are allowed to bring with us our loved ones like hubby or wife, children or siblings but no boyfriend or girlfriend. To my single colleagues, sorry folks :). Our boss says they might get OP (out of place) and intimidated. So, to my single workmates, go get married first so you can bring with you your lovey dovey next year we'll have again our bonding.

It's been around six years already since my last visit to this resort. We visit Samal island every year but to the other resorts of the island. There's really a huge improvement since I went there. They were able to maintain their well-manicured plants and even make it more beautiful. I have also observed that they have now a number of cottages than my previous visit. What makes paradise island like-able to visitors is the fact that they have many amenities and you can do a lot of activities there.
