Rainbow Breeze Beach Resort - Brgy, Caliclic, Babak Dist.

My wifey department had an acquaintance at the Rainbow Breeze Beach Resort. Its easy to get there just take a jeep going to Sasa Barge Wharf or simply take a bus to Samal. Once you get to Samal, just drop by Phoenix gasoline station and take a Pedicab, tell the driver your destination which is the Rainbow Breeze Beach Resort, and one more thing tell the Pedicab driver to bring you inside the resort, its a long walk if you were drop off on the resort's entrance gate.

The place is nice, although the beach area is not that wide. There are plenty of cottages to choose from. There are open cottages and cottages with air-conditioned and non air-conditioned. The place though when we went their is not crowded, maybe because the place is not that know yet compared to other resorts. forgot to took pictures of the cottages with air-conditioned though.

Celebrating special occasions or company event would be great in this resort, since it has a function hall that can accommodate 70-80 persons for Php 3,500 only.

Isla Reta Beach Resort - Samal, Sta. Cruz, Talicud, Igacos

Its my first time to come to Isla Reta, I have heard of the beach before, but never did consider going there, until now. My wife and her classmates at her masteral classes planned to have a celebration after their comprehensive exam at Isla Reta. After sleepless nights of studying for the exam they plan to relax and have fun at Isla Reta Beach Resort. 

We arrive at Sta. Ana wharf at around 2 pm, our boat leaves at 3 pm that day. Before arriving at Isla Reta, our boat made a stop at Kaputian wharf (the boat stayed there for about 5 minutes, because there were plenty of rice sacks that were unloaded during that trip). After Kaputian the boat then traveled to Talicud Island, we arrive at Talicud's wharf at about 5 pm (the boat going straight to Isla Reta was not available that time around). It only took about a 2 minute walk to Talicud's wharf going to Isla Reta.

When we arrive there the place was already packed with people but not over crowded as some of the well known beaches in Samal. My wife's classmate already reserve an open cottage for us, since we are staying over night and I really need to sleep, I rented a tent (it will cost you 400 pesos for the tent) additional charges if you want to add a pillow, blanket and mattress.

Once we settled in and our bags already placed in the tent, I went strolling around the place just to familiarize the surroundings. The comfort room and bathroom are all in one place, both for female and male. There's also a place were you can wash your utensils, and grilling place to cook your food. 

You can also order food to be cooked in their canteen, the canteen will be closed at 10 pm so better order early. Electricity will be turned off at 6 am in the morning and will be back in the evening. So better charge your phones and cameras, or better yet bring and extra battery pack.

Even though it was already night you can still swim at the beach as there is a spotlight at each end of the resort. Damn it was cold though hahahha, but still enjoyed my swim. It is at daytime that you'll appreciate the beach though and the view of the resort.

So all in all the place was really nice, the sand was white, and the beach a pretty blue. I can't wait to visit the place again.

Acquaintance Party at Camp Holiday Beach Resort

Last weekend we had an acquaintance party at Camp Holiday Beach Resort in Brgy. Kinawitnon, Island Garden City of Samal (IGACOS). We had so much fun...parlor games were played...food was great! Some of my colleagues brought with them their kids and spouses.

Camp holiday Resort is a new addition to the many resorts in Samal Island. It is very accessible because it is situated just right beside the barge wharf. It is very clean and it has a nice ambiance. It has enough space for kids, camping and games.

There are a number of guest houses inside the resort. It is air-conditioned, with hot and cold shower, toilet, and a cable TV. This is good for 3 persons at a rate of Php1,800.00.

Hidden Paradise of Samal Island: Cannibad

Have you experience being burned out and really needs a place as getaway/hideaway from the hassle dazzle of the fast-paced life in the city? This place is the right one for you. The place is called Cannibad located in Samal Island. In here, you can get intimate with nature and of course, be intimate with your loved one/s.

It's just easy to get there. From downtown Davao, you can take a jeepney or a taxi going to Sasa Km. 11 and ride a ferry boat going to Babak. Another option is to ride Island City Express bus at Sta. Ana Avenue (near Magsaysay Park) in going to Babak, Samal Island. From Babak, you can ride a single motorcycle (locally known as habal-habal) for a fare of Php100.00/person or hire a multicab for a fare of Php700.00 (this is good for about 12 people, this is recommended if you are a group). After about an hour ride...voila! there you are...reaching Cannibad, a somewhat secluded place away from the city...away from the crowded beaches in other parts of Samal island.
