Our family tried to have a bonding time before the start of the school year. We decided to try a beach resort which we had not visited before, we tried asking some of our close friends, and they suggested the Sunset Beach Park Resort.
Going to Sunset Beach Park Resort is easy, you can take a jeep going to Sasa Wharf Barge or take a Bus going to Samal wherein the bus will still go to the Sasa wharf barge. We on the other hand took the jeep and get on the barge, our daughter likes it that way. When we arrive at Samal Island, Sunset Beach is just I think 1-2 kilometers left of Samal's wharf barge, we took a pedicab to go to the resort. When we arrive at Sunset Beach there were already plenty of people.
The place is nice, very nice and huge. Not as huge as hmmm Paradise beach resort, but compared to some affordable beaches in Samal this place is big. There are plenty of open and closed cottages to choose from, those friends of our's who suggested the place advised us to spend overnight because the place gets a lot livelier at night since there would be a live bands and fire dancers, but we went home at the afternoon since our little girl need to have a good night sleep.
There are lots of tenants/renters in the resort, there are store, souvenir shop, tattoo station, jet ski rental to name a few a few. If you ask me the place is great, the ambiance the beach. My only complain is their toilet, I think it has only one place for its common toilet and from our cottage its a bit far though, and for a resort that big I think an additional toilet at a different location would be nice. That being said I would still recommend this place to my friend that are looking for affordable beaches to go to.
