Delicious and Tasty Chicken at Goldie Chicken House - Davao City

If you like chicken, well fried chicken to be exact. Better check out Goldie Chicken House at Ilustre Street.

When it comes to chicken, for me they have the tastiest and juiciest chicken, that can rival that of Jollibee and Mcdonalds. Me and my wife love to eat there because also of their affordable price. I'm not sure of the correct prices of Jollibee and Mcdonalds when it comes to chicken, as far as I can remember, a 1 piece chicken meal in Jollibee or Mcdonalds can cost you almost 80 pesos (a one piece chicken part, one soft drinks and a rice) and that is good for only a single person. At Goldie, me and my wife usually order a Thrift Treat (Large) which can cost us 142 pesos, Expensive? well lets look at the content. A Thrift Treat (Large) has 6 slices of chicken part (YES 6 chicken parts compare to a single part on your favorite food chain), a rice and a macaroni or potato salad. Since there is only 1 rice we would order an extra rice, and an ice tea which cost 18 pesos. Usually our bill would range at about 180 pesos, is it worth it? of course.

The only downside of the place well, its not air conditioned, only ceiling fans are in used, so come lunch time it could get a little hot, and the place also is not that big, it could accommodate maybe 20 to 30 person the most. But only few people dine in at the place, most of their clients would order in advance through phone call, and mostly are take out orders.

So if you crave for some tasty and yet affordable chicken. Don't hesitate to visit Goldie Chicken House.

Goldie Chicken House is located at Amgar Plaza, Ilustre St, Davao City. Tel No.: 226-3846

Sunday Lunch at Hukad sa Golden Cowrie, 2nd Level at Abreeza Mall, Davao City

Last Sunday, grandpa invited us for a lunch at Hukad located at the second level of Abreeza Ayala Mall. He has tried eating there and told us that food in that restaurant is delicious. We had a late breakfast that Sunday so we left home for Abreeza at past 12 noon already. When we arrived at Hukad, there were already plenty of diners.

Grandpa and grandma ordered Bicol express and grilled blue marlin while me and hubby ordered lechon kawali and kinilaw. Troy's favorite is chicken so as usual, he ordered grilled chicken. As for the drinks, I'm not into softdrinks so I ordered mango juice. Hubby has his coke. Grandpa and grandpa ordered sago at gulaman which they shared with our little sweetheart because she like it very much. Grandpa also ordered single scoop ice cream for all of us for our dessert.

Heavy Eating with Chowking Lauriat at Gaisano Mall Davao

After work, me and my wife went to Gaisano Mall Davao to buy groceries. When we got there, we went directly to the Metrobank ATM machine to withdraw money for the groceries. But to our dismay the machine cannot dispense anymore cash. Although there were other ATM machines in the place, we didn't even bother trying to withdraw anymore, because before we have experienced withdrawing in other machines only to be deducted 50 pesos or 100 pesos. So since we don't have money for the groceries and what we can muster in our wallet is a 500 peso bill, and we were so frustrated not being able to withdraw money and we were so hungry (sometimes being frustrated can really makes me hungry) we decided to eat at Chowking.

Usually we would order braised beef or soup, but this time we were that hungry we went for a lauriat hahahaha. I ordered a chicken lauriat while wifey had a breaded fish lauriat. After our dinner, whoaa we were very full. Chowking's lauriat really is a heavy meal (Heavy on the stomach as well on the pocket hahahahaha).

Dining at Dencio's Restaurant at Damosa Gateway

waiting for our order

the menu

Me and hubby was wondering where to eat for our lunch when we were at Bajada last Sunday. So we just thought of exploring Damosa Gateway and look for a restaurant where we can eat. There, we walked past Yellow Cab Pizza and hubby know's it's no-no for me because I need rice for my lunch. I can't take just pizza, I need heavy meal. Then there's the Hola EspaƱola and I told hubby we'll just eat there next time coz I know it's a little pricey in there. Oh, there's the McDonald's, hubby's favorite but I told him I'm feed up with fast food chains and eating chicken all the time. We went to Market Basket and we saw Dencio's, one of my favorite restaurants. We right away decided to have our lunch in there. I love their barbecue served with soup and atsara. When we arrived there, we were happy that only few people dined, so that means less waiting time for our order. There are a lot of foods to choose from in the menu like chicken barbecue, seafoods and if you want soup, they have seashells like halaan and inbaw and sinigang. Me and hubby decided t order pares 1 composed of a chicken barbecue, pork barbecue and a pitcher of iced tea. We really enjoyed the delicious juicy barbecue that we had and we returned home full and satisfied with our lunch.
